Bruschetta Chicken Kabobs + a Char-Broil Kettleman™ Grill

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Char-Broil for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Grilling season is here and I couldn't be happier about it! I grill year-long, but there is something special about Spring and Summertime that you don't get in the winter months. From the long days to the sounds of kids giggling while running through the sprinkler, it's just the feel of this special time of year that I love. This year I am even more excited for the warm season because have a new addition to our backyard - Char-Broil's new Kettleman™ TRU-Infrared™ 22.5" Charcoal Grill! It's been years since I've grilled on a charcoal grill and I was totally excited about getting back in the saddle with this Char-Broil beauty. I've been using a propane gas grill and although it is a breeze to just push a button and get started there is something so much more satisfying about firing up those charcoal briquettes myself and preparing the grill for cooking. It's a hands-on process that is oh-so gratifying!

As soon as we got the Char-Broil Kettleman Grill delivered to our doorstep, my husband started the assembling and I was off to the store for charcoal briquettes! The first recipe I decided to grill up were Chicken Bruschetta Kabobs. I wanted something fresh and fun to eat - the kabobs were just that. I know a recipe is a great success at our house when all 4 of the kids are digging in!

While the shape may be familiar, the Char-Broil Kettleman™ Grill is no ordinary charcoal kettle – it is loaded with features that give backyard enthusiasts better control over every aspect of the cooking process. Several of my favorite features are the lid-mounted temperature gauge, hinged lid, super-sized damper and removable ash bowl. Plus, this charcoal grill is a TRU-Infrared™ cooking system - which means food is cooked using radiant heat. While traditional grills will certainly make your food hot, Char-Broil's system cooks it to perfection and locks in 50% more juices than traditional grills.

Also, I must mention the no-fall through grate, because there is nothing more frustrating than having food slip through the grates! This is a fabulous grill for $139 {available at Lowe's or online at} that we are going to get years of use out of. Char-Broil has an awesome limited warranty that covers the firebox and lid for 10 years, ash pan for 5 years and all other parts for 2 years. Check out the Char-Broil site to learn more about the Kettleman grill.

Our first meal on the new grill came out wonderful! It was so nice sitting out on the back patio in the warm weather, enjoying the flavors of fresh tomatoes, garlic and basil over perfectly grilled chicken kabobs. These Chicken Bruschetta Kabobs paired with a side salad and brown rice, make a perfect warm weather meal to enjoy outdoors!
