Disney on Ice presents Passport to Adventure at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento

Last night we headed to Downtown Sacramento and attended the opening show for Disney on Ice presents Passport to Adventure at the new Golden 1 Center! As always, Disney made the experience magical and unforgettable for kids and adults alike. Not only did we see our favorite characters performing, but we also checked out the new arena for the first time. There's still 6 more shows scheduled between Nov.4-6 - so you still have time to experience the magic yourself!

We showed up about an hour and a half early, so we had enough time to park and check out the new arena before the show started. (Parking Tip: reserve and pay for parking beforehand using - there's a lot of choices to pick from and makes arriving to the venue a breeze!) After finding our seats we walked around and checked out the new Golden 1 Center. There were so many vendor tables with adorable Disney memorabilia! And in case you don't want to stand in line, there were a lot of walking vendors in the arena that offer a lot of the Disney items, brought right to your seat.

When the show started we could feel the excitement in the air! All the kids had their eyes on the ice rink, ready to see their favorite characters perform live. Before the characters started skating out to perform the crowd was encouraged to have fun, sing the songs and be a little crazy. Having 4 kids it is nice to attend an event where kids are encouraged to be kids. It was wonderful looking around and seeing all the kids singing the popular songs, dancing in their seats and wholeheartedly enjoying the show.

After attending any show or movie, one of our favorite things to do is talk about our favorite parts. Our 7yo son loved that it started to "snow" during the Frozen segment, our 5yo son loved that the crowd got to help Tinkerbell by believing (and cheering), our 3yo daughter was beyond amazed that Mickey & Minnie were "talking" and our 3yo son loved the costumes that the sea-life wore during the Little Mermaid segment. My husband and I were blown away by the talent of the ice skaters performing, but our most favorite part of the show was watching our kid's amazement. One thing that Disney always delivers is magic, and this show was no exception.
